Next Year, Apple will switch to USB Type-C from Lightning ports.

A USB Type-C charging case will be included with the next Apple AirPods series, according to the most recent rumor. According to rumors, Apple will introduce the USB-C port upgrade by next year.

Apple has made the decision to switch all of its products' Lightning connectors to USB Type-C ports in response to the European Union's decision to establish USB type-C as the industry standard for charging ports.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst of TF International Securities, predicts that Apple will introduce USB Type-C charging covers in 2023. He said that the Lightning port will be supported by the future AirPods Pro 2 this year.

It's unclear if the next Apple AirPods Pro will have a USB Type-C connector or not. In the upcoming months, the formal announcement is expected. Apple is reportedly planning to use the same Lightning connector this year, but we must wait for the official announcement.
